Book 1, p 12 (LDS film 131609-3), Culpeper Co., VA, which named In the Name of God Amen the 8th day of March 1776 I Robert Gibbs of Westmoreland County and township of Fairfield Yeoman, being sick and weak in Body But of perfect Mind and Memory thanks be to God therefore calling to mind the mortality of my Body and Knowing it is appointed for all men once to die Do make and ordain this my last will and testament, I give demise and dispose of my effects in the following Mannor. I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth one thind part of my Moveable estate. And to my daughter Agnefs one bed & bed and close And to my Son Hugh Gibbs one young Bay Mare and Saddle And each of my sons Hugh, John, Samuel, Thomas, William Gibbs they are to be raised and schooled out of the estate and then to have one share alike, and the lands to be disposed of as my Executors shall think proper. And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my wife Elizabeth Gibb and my son Hugh Gibbs Executors of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do make this my last Will in Witnefs whereof I hereunto put my hand & Seal this 8th day of March 1776.
