Aaron Redman was born circa December 1757 in
in Loudoun Co., VA, (Age is 9 yr 6 mo in 8 June 1767 Orphan records).
Aaron Redman began military service on 25 March 1777 at
in VA when he enlisted and served in the 11th Virginia Regiment under Capt. Charles Porterfield in the command of Col. Daniel Morgan (Morgan's Rangers). Pay stubs of 50 payments show he was at Valley Forge, Middlebrook, Camp White Plains, Cowpins, and Smiths Clove. He was wounded at the Battle of Brandywine and at the Battle of Stoney Point.

To now all men by these presents that we Andrew Redmond & Samuel Spencer are held and firmly bound into his Excellency Benjamin Harrison Esq. Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the full and just sum of fifty pounds current money to which payment once and truly to be made to the said Benjamin Harrison Esq. or his _______, in trust for our said Commonwealth we bind ourselves and each of our heirs Executors & administrators jointly & severally firmly by these presents seals with our seal & dated this 7th day of Jany 1784. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had of solemnizing between the above named Aaron Redmond & Ann Craig Spinster of Shelbourne Parish. Now if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said intended marriage then the above obligation to be paid otherwise to remain in full force & value.

On 14 Nov 1789, Robert Craig, Aron Redmon, and Edward Cavins all signed a petition in Lexington, Fayette, Co., KY, requesting that a certain lot of land for the purpose of erecting a house for public worship for the Lexington Presbyterian Society.
There is an Indenture at
Green Co., KY, on 22 August 1807 where Isaac Truax and Betty, his wife, sell 188 acres to Aaron Redman.

Aaron Redman is listed in the tax records in 1810 at
Adair Co., KY, where there is one male over 21 (this is the only category recorded) and 6 horses. He is taxed on two pieces of property: 188 acres in B. Fork, and 278 acres in P Fork.
Application for this pension was made in the State of Kentucky, Adair County, 7 June 1830. Aaron was granted pension # W9672 of $96.00 a year. See Appendix A for a excerpt of this application.
