1789; Virginia Personal Property Tax, Loudoun Co., VA. He appeared in the census of 1810 (Males: 1 under 10, 1 - 16-26, 1 - 26-45, 1 - 45 & over; females: 1 - 16-26, 1 - 45 & over. (pg. 566))
Berkeley Co., WV. He left a will on 2 April 1811 at
Will Book 4, pg. 437, Berkeley Co., WV, which named Be it Remembered that I Frances Tytis of the county of Berkeley and Commonwealth of Virginia Calling to mind the uncertainty of live do make and ordain this my last will and testament hereby revoking and Disannuling all former and other wills by me heretofore made ratifying and Confirming this to be may last will and testament, First it is my will and I do order that all my lawful Debts and funeral charges to be justly paid and satisfied. Item. I give and bequeath unto my son Tunis Titus the tract of land lying on the road from Winchester to Redstone an old Fort situate in the county of Hampshire it being the same tract that I purchased of Masthuel Trinks and that the said Tinis now resides on supposed to contain one Hundred and forty nine acres & eleven poles to him the said Titus and his Heris and assigns forever I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Jane the tract of land in the county of Berkeley that I purchased of Robert Miller Containing by Estimation two Hundred and fifty acres Being the same tract of land I now reside on, to have and to hold the said tract of land for and during her natural life and One Horse and two Cows it is my further will and desire that my executor after named do sell as much of my personal property as will be sufficient to pay all my lawful debts and the residue is to be divided Equaly among my four Daughters Mary Margaret Ann and Rebeckah and to my Daughter Elizabeth Procolales five pound and to her son Titus ten poounds and likewise observe that I have granted my daughter Elizabeth fifity acres of land lying in the county of Louden and for the same I have made her a deed and the fifty acres togeather with five pounds which I consider her full share of my Estate and my grandson Titus Dungan ten pounds and to my grand son Titus Pendrick son of my Daughter Margaret ten pounds and to my grand son Frances Titus Scinson son of my Daughter Ann Carter the sum of fifty pounds and my daughter Rebeckah Crage the sum of one hundred pounds It is futher my will & decree that one year after the Decease of my Wife Jane that my Executor or the Survivors of them do sell the plantation I now reside on for the price they can procure and on such terms as they the survivors of them shall Judge best and my Negros David to be sold at the sale of the personal estate and after all legal charges are balanced and the sums granted to aforesaid included the ballancs of the Estate be Equally divided betewen my four daughtes Mary Dugen Margret Prendrick Ann Carter and Rebecca Crage And lastly I do ordain Constitute and apporint my son in law James Crage and Francis Tytus to be my executors of my last will and testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my had and seal this 2nd day of April 1811.
