  1. A man gifted more than others and who expecially favord Catholic Societies and who was often sent as its delegate was mr. Mathew Horacek. Hew was born in Budejovice Region in June of 1839. In 1869 he took Rozalie Kocer as his wife and emigrated to America. During his single years he worked for some time in Cakovec and then for a long time in Vienna, where he learned the German language and where he injured his leg during work so he carried the results all his life.
