At the New Diggins, nine miles from Galena, was another company of 69 men under command of L.P. Vosburgh, Captain; P. Carr and H. Cavener, Lieutendants; and at Vinegar Hill a company of 52 men was commanded by Capt. Jonathan Craig, with Thos, Kilgore and R.C. Blurn, Lieutendants. There was alos a larg company of nearly 100 men at Gratiot'sGrove.³

     Hannah Hilderbrand was born circa 1758 Salem Co., NJ. She married Isaac Davis, son of Thomas Davis and Elizabeth Bassett, circa 1780 at Salem Co., NJ. Hannah Hilderbrand was buried in Quaker Ridge Cemetery, Carroll Co., OH. She died on Friday, 13 November 1840 Middleton Township, Columbiana Co., OH.

     Elizabeth Davis was born on Saturday, 26 February 1785 Pilesgrove Twp., Salem Co., NJ. She married Isaac Craig, son of William Craig and Deborah Holmes, on 7 April 1808 at in Columbiana Co., OH, by Jonathan Myers, J.P., recorded by R. She was buried in Woodland Cemetery, Toledo, IA.

     Thomas King Armstrong was born on Thursday, 20 December 1810 East Rochester, Columbiana Co., OH. He was baptized on 7 April 1811. He married 1st, Amy Sheets, daughter of George Sheets and Amy Lyon, on 15 February 1832.¹ Thomas King Armstrong married Malinda Craig, daughter of Isaac Craig and Elizabeth Davis, on 10 May 1836 at First Presbyterian Church, Lisbon, Columbiana Co., OH, "both of Hanover."^2,3 Thomas King Armstrong appeared in the census of 31 August 1850 (merchant, $1700) in Holmes Co., OH. He appeared in the census of 19 June 1860 (merchant) in Lisbon, Linn Co., IA. He appeared in the census of 22 June 1870 (listed as a druggest) Toledo, Tama Co., IA. He died on Thursday, 9 July 1891 Toledo, Tama Co., IA, at age 80. He was buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo, IA.⁴

     Joseph Richardson Arter was buried in Lisbon Cemetery, Columbiana Co., OH. He was born on Friday, 17 October 1817. He married Deborah Craig, daughter of Isaac Craig and Elizabeth Davis, on 19 May 1839 at Methodist Episcopal Church, Columbiana Co., OH.^2,3 Joseph Richardson Arter died on Friday, 30 March 1888 at age 70.
