Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia in the full and just sum of fifty pounds current money to which payment once and truly to be made to the said Benjamin Harrison Esq. or his _______, in trust for our said Commonwealth we bind ourselves and each of our heirs Executors & administrators jointly & severally firmly by these presents seals with our seal & dated this 7th day of Jany 1784.
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be had of solemnizing between the above named Aaron Redmond & Ann Craig Spinster of Shelbourne Parish. Now if there shall be no lawful cause to obstruct the said intended marriage then the above obligation to be paid otherwise to remain in full force & value.

Agnes Craig married Aaron Redman on 8 January 1784 at Loudoun Co., VA; (Marriage is recorded in the IGI 1984 edition, batch 8109011, sheet 39). Agnes received a Military Pension based on the following application:
State of Indiana, Gibson County. On this thirteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty three personally appeared before the Probate Court in and for the County and State aforesaid Nancy Redman a resident of the County of Gibson and State of Indiana age eighty years, who being first duly sworn according to the law doth upon her oath make the following Declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the provision made on the Act of Congress passed July 7th 1838 Entitled an act granting half pay and pensions to certain widows. That she is the widow of Aaron Redman who was a private in the army of the Revolution during the war. That her husband the said Aaron Redman was a pensioner on the Indiana Roll at the rate of 96 dollars a year and served as set forth in the original Deceleration of her said Husband on file at the war office of the United States to which she begs leave to refer for further particulars respecting his service. She further declares that she was married to the said Aaron Redman on the eighth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven and eighty four by License and by a Baptist preacher by the name of Marks, and the License was signed by Jashua Mcdaniel. That the marriage took place in Loudoun County Virginia. That she knows of no family record or register recording the marriage or births of her children. That she has born in lawful wedlock fourteen children the oldest of which is Margaret Redman (now dead) was born on the twenty first of October one thousand seven hundred and eighty four. She further declares that she was married to the said Aaron Redman on the eighth day of January one thousand seven and eight four as aforesaid and that her husband the said Aaron Redman died on the twenty seventh day of August one thousand eight hundred and Forty. That she was not married to him prior to his leaving the service But the marriage took place prior to the First of January seventeen hundred and ninety four viz at the time above stated. Subscribed and sworn in open Court the day and year first above written before me, Wm French, Judge of Probate Court.
In the affidavit following this, Robert and John Redman testified that Aaron Redman died on the twenty seventh day of August one thousand eight hundred and forty and that Nancy Redman is still a widow and has not remarried.

Agnes Craig died on Thursday, 21 April 1853 in Gibson Co., IN.2 The will Agnes Craig left when she died was probated on 6 May 1853 at in Gibson Co., IN, in which 3 among her bequests in the document were items to her grandson, Aaron Redman, and "to my children, William, John and Robert Redman and Mrs. Nancy Clark". The will was dated 21 Dec 1851. See Appendix A.4

On 14 Nov 1789, Robert Craig, Aron Redmon, and Edward Cavins all signed a petition in Lexington, Fayette, Co., KY, requesting that a certain lot of land for the purpose of erecting a house for public worship for the Lexington Presbyterian Society.
There is an Indenture at Green Co., KY, on 22 August 1807 where Isaac Truax and Betty, his wife, sell 188 acres to Aaron Redman.3 Aaron Redman appeared in the census of 1810 (males: (3) under 10, (2) 10 to 16, (2) 16 to 26, and (1) over 45, females: (3) under 10 and (1) over 45.) Adair Co., KY.
Aaron Redman is listed in the tax records in 1810 at Adair Co., KY, where there is one male over 21 (this is the only category recorded) and 6 horses. He is taxed on two pieces of property: 188 acres in B. Fork, and 278 acres in P Fork.
Application for this pension was made in the State of Kentucky, Adair County, 7 June 1830. Aaron was granted pension # W9672 of $96.00 a year. See Appendix A for a excerpt of this application.2 Certificate #20231 for Aaron's pension was issued 1 September 1830 which listed the amount due at that time as $49.31.2
There is an Indenture at Adair Co., KY, on 17 February 1832 where Aron and Agnes Redman sell a 139 acre tract of land to Wesley Redman for One Dollar. See Appendix B for a transcription of this Indenture. There is an Indenture in Adair Co., KY, on 24 September 1833 where Aaron and Agnes Redman sell Joseph Nelson a 139 1/2 acre tract of land on Grafts lick fork of Pettits fork of Rupells Creek for three hundred dollars. There is an Indenture in Adair Co., KY, on 24 September 1833 where Aaron and Agnes Redman sell Manoak Stone a 187 1/4 acre tract of land on Rupells creek for three hundred seventy four dollars and fifty cents. On 19 Mar 1834, Aaron applied for transfer of his pension to Gibson Co., IN.2 He died on Thursday, 27 August 1840 in Gibson Co., IN.
