Last Will and Testament of JABEZ COULSON In the name of the benevolent father of all I Jabez Coulson of Jefferson Township, Jay County, Ind. a person of sound mind, do make and publish this my last will and testament.
ITEM 1st ----------- I want a monument that will cost forty or fifty dollars for my son Wm. A. Coulson and a monument for my father and mother Anson and Martha Coulson to cost about fifty dollars.
ITEM 2nd ----------- I give and bequeath to my daughter, Nellie Ayers, one hundred dollars and I give and bequeath to my granddaughter Sarah C. Ayers, one hundred dollars or my maud mare. The one hundred dollars for monuments and the one hundred dollars bequeath to my daughter Nellie Ayers is to be taken out of the share of my daughter Annie Godfrey, then the residue after the above conditions are complied with is to be divided equally between my four daughters, Annie Godfrey, Rachel R. Bost, Sylvania Kunce and Nellie Ayers, share and share alike.
I hereby nominate and appoint Joseph Bost as executor of this my last will and testament, I hereby revoke all former wills made by me. In testimony hereof I have set my hand and seal this 19th day of June 1907.

Jabez Coulson died Friday night at eleven-thirty o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. George Kunce, south of New Mt. Pleasant after a lingering illness of rheumatism, organic heart desease and dropsy. Mr. Coulson was taken ill on March 17th last and gradually declined until relieved by death Friday night.
The deceased was a son of the late Anson and Martha Coulson and was born in Jay County, May 19, 1841, making him at the time of death aged sixty-six years, four months and twenty-five days. Mrs. Coulson has been dead several years and he is survived by the following children; Anna, wife of William Godford, of Green Township; Rosa, wife of Joseph Bost of New Mt. Pleasant; Nellie, wife of Frank Ayers of Collet; Sophia, wife of George Kunce, at whose home his death occurred. Two brothers and one sister survive; John Coulson of New Mt. Pleasant, James Coulson of Redkey, and Mrs. Nancy Brown of Green township. He was buried on 7 October 1907 in
New Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Jay Co., IN.
